Ian Rankin hears about Bookchase®

At the Hay Literature Festival this year I introduced myself to pretty much anyone who would stop long enough to listen. I gave a pencil to Ian Rankin - who seemed surprised to be recognised. He said he'd use it to 'do his Sudoko'. He asked me why I was in Hay and I explained that I'd designed the Penguin deckchairs scattered in the muddy areas! I also mentioned that his work featured in Bookchase. He seemed genuinely interested in the game and said 'it sounds ideal for Christmas - I'll look out for it'. Can't say fairer than that...
